Sunset at Richland
DO THY BEST
When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When all life's trudging seems all up hill,
When sharp rocks pierce the feet,
And your brow is burning from intense heat,
When you feel the urge to give up and rest,
Think again, try harder, and do thy best.
When poverty seems to overrule your body and soul,
When troubles, heartaches, and disappointments unfold as a scroll,
When others scoff and ridicule all you think and do,
When sleepless nights plague your body and soul,
When you feel the urge to give up and rest,
Think again, try harder, and do thy best.
When the years grow long and the body grows tired,
When you feel maybe God has forgotten you,
When tears run down your cheeks like the morning dew,
Don't forget Jesus is bottling up those tears,
And soon you'll have your rest,
So think again, try harder, do they best,
Your Heavenly Father up above will do the rest.

MY GOD
There is an Almighty God above
Whom everyone should love.
He saves a sinner by His Grace;
You can tell by the smile on their face.
Then be baptized soon as you can;
Stand and tell others like a man.
Go to church and invite all others;
Love your sisters and your brothers.
Listen to your Pastor and heed his cry;
If members don't come ask them why.
Read the word and always pray;
Others may leave but you must stay.
God solves all problems big and little;
Takes care of things to the jot and tittle.
Glad I belong to Richland Baptist Church;
And not stay home as a bird on a perch.
Others are watching as you work and live;
How you act and how you live.
Do each day as tho it was your last;
Live in the future and not in the past.

LIFE LINE FROM EARTH TO HEAVEN
There is a life line from earth to heaven
Jesus Christ paid the price in full for this line
Shedding His precious blood on Calvary
For your sins and mine.
The Holy Spirit is the operator of this line
Sinners may ask for forgiveness any time
If we who are saved and have unforgiven sins in our lives
This will cause a disconnection on the line.
When sin is forgiven and our hearts are right
This line from earth to heaven will light up with the Father's love so bright
He loves His children and listens for their calls one by one
Knowing they have the privilege because of the precious blood of His Son.
Thank you dear Jesus for this precious line
We've used it so many times.
You have seen our tears;
Also when our hearts are filled with joy.
When the operator says 'long enough it's time to go home'
The earthly line will no longer be needed you see
We're going home to the operator, Jesus Christ, for eternity.

PLEASE DO NOT MISS ME NOW THAT I'M GONE
This is to the hearts I may have won,
"Please do not miss me now that I'm gone."
For the Lord hath saved me by his grace,
And now I look upon you from a much better place.
Do not fill your hearts with sorrow,
For, I will still be with you in spirit tomorrow.
And if your eyes must cry those tears,
Think of the special moments we shared through the years.
Please don't drop your head and sigh,
If you want to see me again, put your soul upon high.
All you have to do is give it all to the one above,
And in return you will receive the greatest thing on earth, Love.
Even though I have past,
And the breath I took was my last.

I'm growing old and have some pains
I work and worry about many things,
Time has changed in so many ways
Seems like it's all nights and no days.
I forget and add to and do things wrong
I'm losing my strength and not too strong,
I'm a bother to others, especially my kids
Think I'll sell out to the highest bids.
Ask the Lord to take me home
Then it will all be over, I never more roam,
Then I think of leaving my family so great
And decide I've made an awful mistake.
Just struggle on - work and run
And tell the world what the Lord has done,
Blessings on blessings, I cannot count
He's answered many prayers to the fullest amount.
There must be a reason for being left here
Time in the end is getting so near,
I'll work a little harder in days to come
Then when all is over, my work will be done!

If I can't be a mighty oak at the top of the hill
Let me be a willow down by the rocks and reels.
If I can't be a ship that rides the ocean curves
Let me row hard the boat of life to see lost souls saved.
If I can't be a three star general of our great land,
Let me be a private first class, ready and willing for Jesus to stand.
If I can't be a physician with a PhD at the end of my name,
Help me with humility help those suffering in sickness and pain.
If I can't own riches, houses and land,
Let me be thankful for the mighty touch of the Master's hand.
If I haven't authority to tell others what to do,
Let me tell all I may about Jesus whether it be many or a few.
Lord, I'm just your unworthy child saved by grace,
