We believe in cooperating with others of like faith and practice, but we have no formal affiliation in, or subjection to a convention or association. We feel our responsibility is to our Lord and His word and that God gives people on the local church level the wisdom to follow Him and do His work. We faithfully hold to the historic and Baptistic position of the verbal inspiration of the Bible and its literal interpretation. We believe it is the only and final rule of faith and practice. Believing such, we are a Bible teaching and preaching church, and we encourage personal use of the Word of God. We believe that the Great Commission to spread the Gospel is the responsibility of each local church. As such, we support missions at home and around the world. We also believe in being actively engaged in presenting Christ as the Saviour of sinners to our community. |
IN MANY WAYS OUR CHURCH IS DIFFERENT |
We are old-fashioned enough that we use only the Bible in our worship. We believe in the Genesis account of creation. We believe in the Virgin Birth. We believe in verbal inspiration of the scriptures. We believe in the necessity of the substitutionary suffering and shed blood of Christ as the only payment for sin. We believe in salvation by grace, plus and minus nothing. We believe the eternal security of the soul that is saved. We believe that the second coming of Christ is imminent. We take a stand against sin. We believe the only Scriptural method of financing a church is through the tithes and free-will offerings of God's people. We believe in spreading the gospel to all nations through our missionaries. All mission offerings are designated and received by the specific missionary. All mission offerings are designated to the specific missionary who is to receive it. |
